Emiliane Rubat du Mérac is an Associate Professor at the Department of Developmental and Socialization Psychology at Sapienza University of Rome, with qualification as Full Professor. Her teaching activities include courses in Research Methodology in Education, Pedagogy for Physical Education, and Research on Learning and Attitudes of Students.
She holds a PhD in Pedagogy from Roma Tre University, a Second-Level Master’s Degree in Mindfulness from Sapienza University of Rome, and a Master’s Degree in Experimental Pedagogy (Sapienza University of Rome).
Her research focuses on the development of soft skills and values in young people, the impact of educational contexts on personal development, and the assessment and certification of competencies. She currently serves as the Academic Coordinator for Innovative Pedagogies and Service-Learning within the CIVIS network (Europe's Civic University Alliance), Coordinator of Erasmus+ projects, and head of initiatives such as “Open Badge EDU.”
As part of the Erasmus+ UNI-T Academy (eUropeaN cIvic Teacher Academy), she contributes to designing transformative teacher training programs with a focus on inclusive and outdoor education.
Through the Open Badge EDU initiative, she leads efforts to create innovative pathways and tools for the assessment and certification of transversal and professional skills.
She has gained international experience as a UNESCO consultant and has held coordination and research roles in national and regional projects related to educational success, inclusion, and school-to-work transition. She is also a member of the Academic Board for the PhD program in Social Psychology, Development, and Educational Research.
She is fluent in French (native), Italian, and English, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
