Anna Rita Germani holds a Ph.D in Economics (2011) from the Center for Financial and Management Studies (CeFiMS) of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London and a Master of Science (MSc) in Agricultural and Resource Economics (2000) from the University of Arizona, Tucson - USA. She also holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Policy from the University of Naples "Federico II" (2001) and a Master in Agricultural Economics and Policy (1998) from the "Centro di Specializzazione e Ricerche Economico-Agrarie per il Mezzogiorno" (CSREAM) - Portici, Italy. Before embracing the advanced studies in Economics, she has achieved a Degree in Law at "Sapienza" University of Rome.
She is associate professor in Economic Policy at the Department of Legal and Economic Studies, Faculty of Law of "Sapienza" University of Rome, where she actually teaches "Economics", "Environmental Law and Economics", and "Economics of Public Procurement". She has been member of the PhD Board in "Economics and Finance" of "Sapienza" University of Rome. She is member of the PhD Board in "Public Law" (curriculum in Law and Economics") of "Sapienza" University of Rome. She teaches economic courses (environmental economics, economics, international economics, economic policy, economics of public procurement) in master and doctoral programs.
From June 2024, she is Consultant for the Council of Europe in the field of anti-corruption, anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CFT) response to environmental crime in the framework of the Action against Economic Crime in the Western Balkans.
From 2019 she is member of the Academic Committee of INECE (International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement - INECE). She has been Research Assistant (2000) at the University of Arizona and Visiting Research Scholar (2019) at METRO Institute for Transnational Legal Research - Maastricht University.
She has been member of the Group of Experts for the Evaluation of Research in the Economic Sciences and Statistics Area set up by ANVUR for the Evaluation of the Italian Research Quality (VQR 2015-2019).
