The initiative will be divided into 2 phases.
A first onsite phase in which participants had the opportuniy to exerience an in depht knowledge of methods, contents and territory, that will take place in Fermo from 16th to 21st May. During this week students will attend lectures, seminars and conferences, meet entrepreneurs, visit businesses and experience the use of social media to promote rural areas.
Participants will be engaged in three main activities, totalling 35 hour:
Lectures with a seminar and workshop format (16 hours).
The topics of the lectures will concern innovation in rural areas with a specific focus on the cultural and tourism, agri-food and manufacturing sectors. The programme also includes participation in the scientific conference “Rural areas in a time of recovery and resilience: the role of education to boost innovation” scheduled for 17 May in Fermo.
Meeting with the territory (9 hours)
Field visits, company visits and experiential activities aimed at creating opportunities for exchange and confrontation between participants and local entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
Teamworking (10 hours).
Participants, with the support of tutors, will work in groups to collect and revise the inputs received during each activity and to prepare the final output.
A second online phase consisting in a wrap-up session aimed at exploring the main experiences carried out by students during the International Student Competition in collaboration with the local community, entrepreneurs and public administration.
