Boys Volleyball
2023-2024 SEASON
UMS Boys Volleyball consists of 4 different teams with 8-10 players each:
Varsity A
Strongest players regardless of grade
Varsity B
Mostly 8th Graders
JV A
Mostly 7th Graders
JV B
Mostly 6th Graders
Game Rules
Players rotate in/through during games with every player getting a chance to play.
Games 1 and 2 are the first to 25 points, you have to win by 2 points.
Game 3 is the first to 15, you have to win by 2 points.
First team to win 2 games wins the match.
Practices will take place Monday-Thursday on days where there are no games.
Specific times will be announced after tryouts.
TRYOUT INFORMATION
Boys Volleyball is a cut sport.
The tryout for below MUST be filled out by a guardian before tryouts begin.
6th Grade Tryout
Starts 10/9 @ 3:00 in the gym
7th Grade Tryout
Starts 10/9 @ 4:00 in the gym
8th Grade Tryout
Starts 10/9 @ 5:00 in the gym
All students trying out will attend on Monday and Tuesday.
Only those who make the first and second cut will attend on Wednesday and Thursday.
