The blue homework sheet is assigned on Mondays and it is due back on Fridays. The homework sheet should be signed by a parent. If your child didn't complete their nightly reading, please don't check off the box. They will earn a ROAR ticket for turning it in! Late homework is accepted!
Daily math homework can be turned in each morning or all on Friday as a stapled packet of completed work. This flexible turn in time for math gives grace to families who need more time in a day! I would prefer that your child go to bed at a decent time instead of trying to finish math homework late at night. The homework sheet goes online on Fridays so you could also choose to do the math homework over the weekend instead if you would prefer.
Students should be able to do the math independently, but they might need help with the directions if they aren't a reader yet. The homework should take about 10 min each day. The example pages in each lesson are to help parents navigate the various ways that we teach math. Our goal is for our students to be able to show composing and decomposing numbers in various ways. If your child struggled with a concept and you weren't able to help, please just put a note on the homework sheet for me please.
