Centre of Excellence for Frontier Materials Research
The research centre focuses on two main research themes: Advanced Materials for Energy Application and Sustainable Engineering for Environment. The research activities involve the development of new and improved Materials for Energy Applications such as cathode and electrolytes for Rechargeable Lithium-ion Batteries, Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC), and Photocatalysis. In the meantime, the development of Advanced Electronic Materials such as piezoelectric materials for energy harvesters, dielectric materials for resonator antennae (DRA) and ceramic capacitors are actively executed. We also support other diverse research towards Sustainable Engineering for Environments such as Advanced Alloys, Advanced Composites, Advanced Catalytic and Membrane Technology, and Surface Engineering.
