KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Prof. Dr. Yifei Zhang
Title : Active Terahertz Metamaterials and Their Potential for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces
Yifei Zhang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering at the Beijing Institute of Technology, China, in 2006 and 2009, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree at the University of Delaware, DE, US in 2016. He is currently a “Qilu Scholar”professor and the vice-director of the Center of Nanoelectronics in the School of Integrated Circuits, Shandong University, China. His research interests include millimeter-wave and terahertz 3-D circuits and electronic devices, active metamaterials, microwave-photonic devices, high-frequency integration and packaging, and their applications. He has published more than 50 international papers and more than 10 patents/patent applications. He is serving as an editorial board member and/or guest editor of two international journals.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nashrul Fazli Bin Mohd Nasir
Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia
Nashrul Fazli Bin Mohd Nasir is currently an Associate Professor and the Head of Sports Engineering Research Centre, Centre of Excellence (COE), Universiti Malaysia Perlis. He has more than 20 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering. He was one of the founders of the Biomedical Electronic Engineering Programme in Universiti Malaysia Perlis and was his first Programme Chairman. Due to his vast experience in Biomedical Engineering, he is appointed as committee member in various Malaysian Biomedical Engineering and Biomaterials academic societies such as Malaysian Chapter of the Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB), Malaysian Society of Medical and Biological Engineers (MSMBE), Malaysian Biomaterials Society, Medical Device Authority (MDA)’s Medical Device Technical Competency Working Committee and also a Full Member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society.
Dr. Samir Salem Al-Bawri

Samir Salem Al-Bawri (Member, IEEE) received the Master of Science degree in wireless communication engineering from Yarmouk University, Jordan, in 2009, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in communication engineering from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia, in 2018. He has worked as a Lecturer with the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum, Hadhramout University (HU), Yemen, from December 2009 to August 2014. He worked as a Graduate Research Assistance with UniMAP, from 2015 to 2018. He has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher Fellow with Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya, Malaysia, for one year. He is currently affiliated as a Senior Lecturer/a Research Fellow with the Center for Space Science, Institute of Climate Change, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He has authored or coauthored over (42) ISI and SCOPUS published journal; (50) conference proceeding, book chapter on various topics related to antennas, microwaves, and electromagnetic radiation analysis with one inventory patent. Thus far, his publications have been cited more than 800 times and his H-index is 18 (Source: Google scholar). He has a superviser of 8 Ph.D. theses, 4 M.Sc. theses, and has several local and international grants as project leader. His research interests include design and evaluation of multi-element antennas, metamaterials, electromagnetic radiation analysis, localization estimation techniques, and wireless propagation. He was a recipient of several Gold Medals Award in international Exhibitions.
Dr. Umaisaroh
Universitas Mercu Buana, Indonesia
Umaisaroh received bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic (PENS) in 2013. She was awarded as a PMDSU scholarship in 2013 by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Indonesia and received a Doctoral degree from Electrical Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology in 2019. In 2019, she joined Electrical Engineering Department, Universitas Mercu Buana, Jakarta, as Lecturer. She has been mentoring several undergraduate and graduate students. She has authored and co-authored more than 30 conference papers and journal, including IEEE Wireless Communication Letters, Progress in Electromagnetics Research (PIER), and other reputable international journals. She has written several books, such as reflectarray & transmitarray antennas in microwaves and millimetres, metoda inversi pada problem pencitraan gelombang mikro. Her research interests include antenna and propagation, MIMO antenna, transmitarray and reflectarray antenna, wearable antenna, biomaterial absorber. Several research funds were granted nationally. She is active as IEEE member, IEEE AP-S and has been a member of the technical program committees of several IEEE conferences and technical reviewer for several IEEE conferences. She has been a co-chair in the 2020 International Conference on Broadband Communication, Wireless Sensors and Powering (BCWSP 2020) conference.
