RAMAN Spectroscopy
HORIBA Monochromator/Spectrograph with focal length l=320mm and resolution of 0.06 nm, coupled to a thermoelectrically cooled HORIBA Jobin Yvon “Open Electrode” diode array detector (Syncerity-CCD). The spectrometer has two diffraction gratings (600 g/mm and 1800 g/mm).
The spectrometer has three laser sources been : 532 nm(green), 633 nm(red) and 785 nm(IR). The spectrometer is connected with OLYMPUS BXFM MICROSCOPE: 'Open space' microscope for Raman spectroscopy experiments with large-sized experimental selection and the measurements can be conducted at low temperatures thanks to the possibility to connect the LINKAM THMS 600, a Linkam cell for temperature measurements in the range -196 oC-600 °C.
Fast multielemental and isotopic analysis can be performed by ICP-MS 7550 Agilent, equipped with Ventury nebulizers and a Peltier spray chamber, reducing oxide formation.
High precision, auto-alignment of torch position, the instrument is equipped with ORS collision cell for the remotion of the common polyatomic interferences.
ICP-MS is coupled with autosampler, which allows the automatic analysis of approximately 200 samples.

Anion and cation analysis can be separated and analysed by Ion Cromatograpy technique. The system ICS-100 is equipped with electrolytic suppressor ERS 500, conductivity cell detector and eluent generator by which the eluent concentration ca be easily tuned, to optimized the analysis.. La tecnica si presta molto bene anche per bassi livelli di concentrazione. The system is connected with Autosampler AS 50 that permits a completely automated analysis.
Anions monitored : F-, Cl-, NO2-, NO3-, Br-, PO4-, SO4-, organic anions
Cations monitored: Li+, Na+, NH4+, K+, Ca2+ and Mg2+

High pressure liquid chromatography, the system is equipped with quaternary pump, vacuum degasser, autosampler, thermostated column compartment, DAD detector.
This system can be used for the detection of organic contaminant at low detection limit.
