Prof. Vincenza Calabro
Prof. Vincenza Calabrò is a full professor at the Department of Informatics, Modeling, Electronics and Systems Engineering (D.I.M.E.S.), University of Calabria. She graduated in Industrial Technologies Engineering in 1984 and received a PhD in Chemical Science and Technologies in 1989. She was the winner of the prestigious fellowship of ENI – P.F.E. Energyin in 1985. She also worked as a Researcher at ENIRICERCHE, as well as at ITM-CNR. She became a permanent researcher in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calabria, Faculty of Engineering, before being promoted to full professor at the same university. She was a visiting professor at Slovak Technical University & Nicolaus Copernicus University and co-authored more than 80 publications on scientific journals, proceedings and books, 1 Italian patent and 100 conference or congress proceedings.
Prof. Stefano Curcio
Stefano Curcio, Ph.D., is Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, Modeling, Electronics and Systems, University of Calabria (Italy). His research interests are in the areas of transport phenomena modeling, control and optimization of chemical processes, food engineering, biotechnology bioengineering, and membrane science and technology. He has published over 70 scientific journal articles, seven book chapters, one Italian patent, and more than 120 presentations in international conferences. He serves on the editorial boards of three science and engineering journals, and provides adjudication for the science ministries of Italy, Kazakhstan and Chile. Professor Curcio has also been a technical consultant for the food industry for more than 20 years
