This fascinating tourist destination attracts visitors year-round, with a particular influx during the summer months.
The Campus is about 700 m from one of the accesses to the main places of tourist interest, 10 minutes by foot.

The nearest airport is Bari Palese Airport (60 km). Alternative airport is Naples Airport (300 km) or Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and Cilento Airport (200 km).

From Bari Palese airport you can reach:

From Naples Airport you can reach Naples Central Station using a bus Alibus and then you can take a train or a bus.
From Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and Cilento Airport you can reach Salerno Station using for example Salerno Airlink bus and then you can take a train or a bus.
By train
For connections from Bari Central Station see Ferrovie Appulo Lucane (FAL).
Some train connections Bari-Matera might have dedicated coaches that continue directly to Matera or it might be necessary to change the train in Altamura Station. We recommend you to ask the train conductor for more information if you have any doubts.

By bus
To get to Matera by bus from national and international locations, you can have a look to the following bus companies Liscio, Flixbus, Marozzi, Marino, Petruzzi, Miccolis.
From the Mediterranean coast: take the Salerno-Reggio Calabria Autostrada followings signs for Potenza and Metaponto on the SS 407 Basentana road, then turn off for Matera after the Ferrandina Scalo FS exit.
From the Adriatic coast: take the Bologna-Taranto Autostrada to the Bari Nord exit. Continue to the industrial zone and exit at Modugno for Altamura-Matera, following the SS 96 then the SS 99 roads.
From the south of Italy (Calabria and Sicily): take the Reggio Calabria-Salerno Autostrada to the Sibari exit, then the SS 106 Jonica road for Taranto and turn off for Potenza. After 38 km take Matera exit.
By sea
