Steps, roles, and responsibilities
The WebQuest is a collaborative and inquiry oriented project. There is so much information out there and it would be difficult for one person to find them all! Therefore, before you will be ready to work as a team (collaborate), each of you will need to follow visit the Resources page do some individual research (inquiry) to become an expert of different aspect of Poznan.
1. Identify who in your group will assume each of the following roles. All of the roles don't have to be taken. Just make certain that each member of your group has his/her own unique role
2. Do your own research on Poznan looking for places of interest to your character. Use the resources available in the Resources page.
3. Make a list of these places along with any information you may find about where the place is located, the hours it is open, and the costs associated with the attraction. Did you consider the "plan B" in case of rain?
4. Find each place on a map of Poznan so you and your traveling group can consider the walking/driving distance from point-to-point.
5. Open the Daily Schedule sheet. This is your collaboration tool. As you are working on your part you may start proposing the times and dates for some activities. Make sure to either use different color or put you initials so partners know who proposed what tourist activity
6. Meet together as a group and begin your planning with the use of the embedded above Google Sheet collaboration tool.
As a group of four travel-planners, you must first do research to find places in Poznan that will be of interest to each of you. After you have made your wish list of what you want to see, you must agree not only on where, when and what to visit but also how to present it to the judges.
7. Download the Spreadsheet Collaboration tool to better manage time for each attraction and to keep an eye on a budget.
8. Contact the experts. Your teacher will provide you with Skype contacts in Poznan. Our Polish friends are eager to answer all the questions about their beloved town and help you design an ultimate traveling experience.
9. Draft the itinerary
10 . Decide what special features (info, pictures, videos, websites, cultural tips, addresses, telephone numbers...) you would like to include in the itinerary to enrich the tourist experience. Create QR codes with that information.
11. Design final itinerary (the final design format will be decided by the group)
12. Present the following items to judges (teachers) and travel company (rest of class) for examination:
Remember, this is a group effort, make sure that your schedule is a compilation of the attractions related to all of the explained above individual roles.
