Roots are super cool all natural filters! They are like a net, so the chemical water comes through, and bam! clean water goes and chemicals stay behind! Cool, right? :)
I think you should plant prairie roots because they are beautiful above ground but more importantly they are fabulous underground because they clean the water and save your life. These days we talk about all these superheros when we should really be talking about prairie roots.
My appeal is that if you use prairie roots your water will get clean. The prairie roots filter out chemicals from the water, witch is the most natural way to filter water. Also if you do not use prairie roots you can get sick, so really if you do use prairie roots it is a win-win.
Prairie roots are LONG roots that are very thick, so they help with chemicals. There is a problem called chemical runoff. When farmers put chemicals, such as fertilizer on their crops, the chemicals slide of and run towards the water. When the chemicals make contact with the water, they make the water dirty, which kills water life and can make any one who drinks it sick. Prairie roots can help. A group of prairie roots planted together is called a Bioswale. Bioswales help because they are super thick, so the chemicals can't get through but the clean water can.
