The human water cycle: The way people use , transport, and dispose water that powers our homes, hydrates our bodies, irrigates our crops and gardens , and processes our waste.
Agricultural runoff : Water leaving farm fields because of irrigations, rain, or melting snow. The example of agricultural runoff could be pollution from soil erosion, animal waste, use of chemicals like pesticides, and fertilizer.
Please watch our video project below. It is a diary entry from the perspective of a farmer, water, a chemical called fertilizer and a prairie root. It tells how prairie roots sponge up dirty water in a fun storytelling way.
How One Smart Farmer Saved the Water:
This is our homemade prairie root, we made it with twine as the roots and with oil pastels and paper for the flowers. This homemade prairie root is the actual size of a real prairie root, six to eight feet tall. What we did is lay long pieces of twine on tape and then stapled the flowers on. We hope you like our homemade prairie root.

It was taken after our First Lego league qualifier. We gave an interview to the KCRG TV 9 reporter. He did not know that roots can be that tall!
