This photo was taken at practice competition. we are at the table, but the thing is, that we where not doing very well but then the two at the table got the pipe mission and we where cheering like crazy! I am pretty sure we were the craziest team there.
This was at the practice competition. No matter what we were all happy and we were telling everyone that it was okay, even though we did not perform very well. Practice makes masters!
Improve the way that people find, use, transport and dispose of water
When we found that our hypothesis about agricultural runoff is true we moved to looking for the ways to fix that. We did more research and found out that prairie roots can be an answer (they are the most natural filter! ). We decided to make prairie roots cool, so people would want to plant them. It would improve the way we use and dispose a water.
because the roots look like that. We visited TallGras Prairie center at UNI to learn more about the roots.
Here, we are at the Tallgrass Prairie Center. We are outside the center and learning about how they look at what they do.
We got to touch a prairie root, and we learned a lot about how they can help filter out nitrates and other yucky chemicals. Also there was another team there, so its not just us.
