- Most discrimination occurs in areas of: employment, housing, healthcare, and public facilities, and is based solely on a person's perceived gender identity or expression
- Discrimination is increased for transgender people of color.
- Including transgender individuals in nondiscrimination laws will protect them from being discriminated against because of their gender identity or expression.
