Welcome back Charlotte ASCE Student Chapter Alumni. Over the years, we have unfortunately lost a lot of contact with our alumni. Today, we are trying to change that. With this page, we allow our alumni to submit their story on what it was is like to be part of the Charlotte ASCE Student Chapter. If you are debating joining ASCE, then take it from those who already been there and done that. The purpose of this page is to create a network for students to still be able to communicate with alumni as well as for alumni who are hoping to still be involved with the school they love and the organization they love. Regardless of the fact, take a minute to scroll through the memories of what ASCE is all about and read the stories of those who experienced it all.

Favorite Moments: "Some of my favorite moments were seeing the high bay filled with people working side by side. Grabbing food after a long day, chatting, laughing; it all helped make the hard work worth it. But hearing that Concrete Canoe won first place at Regionals in 2024 was unforgettable. It was our first win since 2019, and it really hit home that everything we put into it, our time, effort, and late nights meant something. It gave all of us a sense of validation. More than that, it gave future members a sense of reassurance and pride—it showed them that it can be done. And every team since has carried that momentum forward, reaching even higher!"
Words of Advice: "For my future captain: As a captain you always have the bigger picture in mind. You will have a vision that other might not see or understand but remember you were given that vision for a reason. Others might not see it yet—but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth working towards. Every late night, extra hour, extra push is worth it. Always take criticism with a grain of salt—they’re not in your position for a reason. Stay focused on the end goal and keep moving forward."
"For my future members: This is your moment to join a team, sharpen your soft skills, and master creative problem solving. Take the leap; give it a few weeks. I promise, the growth, experience, and friendships you gain will be worth every second! Trust me, it will be one of the most rewarding journeys you’ll ever take!"
