Finding Course Reserves in the Library Catalog

1. Searching for your Course Textbook

Using the search bar, choose how you want to search! If you search Course Code, do not include spaces between the four-letter subject and four-digit code.

By searching the four letter course subject and four digit course code, you can find what books have been assigned to your course and are available through the library.

2. Viewing the Location and Availability

Items in the search results should display a Course symbol. Print Books will have a location listing Course Reserves and the length of the loan period.

Beneath the book title, you can find out if the book is available and where it is located at.

3. Additional Details and Course Information

If you select an item from the results list, you can scroll down to the Details section to read the provided Course Information.

In the screenshot above, the Course Information field includes the Course Subject and Code, the name of the Course, and the instructor name.

Some Course Reserves may also be available electronically and are available with unlimited access — no checkouts required! Check to see if there's an electronic version on the Course eTextbooks webpage!
