My passion for English and fostering a love of learning drives my work as a College Instructor, Planning and Quality Assurance Specialist, and Junior High School English Teacher at the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC). My diverse experiences in teaching, administration, and quality assurance provide a multifaceted understanding of the educational landscape.
Academic Background and Journey
In 2020, I earned a Bachelor of Secondary Education (English) from UNC, developing strong pedagogical skills and expertise in English language and literature. To enhance my leadership and management capabilities, I pursued a Master of Arts in Education, deepening my understanding of educational systems, policy, and strategic planning. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Behavioral Management at UNC, focusing on applying behavioral science principles to improve educational outcomes. This doctoral program refines my understanding of human behavior's impact on learning, enabling me to create more effective teaching strategies. My research focuses on data-driven decision-making in education, integrating technology into teaching, and developing innovative pedagogical approaches.
Professional Experience
My professional journey began as an Administrative Assistant in UNC's Office of the President, providing valuable insights into university administration. I transitioned to a Planning and Quality Assurance Analyst role, mastering quality management systems and data analysis in an educational setting. I also honed my ESL teaching skills as an Online ESL Tutor for 51Talk Philippines. My current roles at UNC integrate my academic knowledge and professional experience, contributing to both teaching and institutional improvement.
Ongoing Research and Creative Works
My research reflects my dedication to improving educational outcomes. I currently participate in two significant projects: "Data-Driven Strategies for Improving School Safety and Resilience" and "Nurturing Minds Through Art Therapy, Mindfulness Drawing, and Tai Chi: Mental Health Guide for the Community of Angat Buhay Village, Sabang Calabanga." These projects demonstrate my commitment to applying research to practical solutions in educational and community settings. Previous research at UNC focused on quality assurance, accreditation, and aligning university activities with the Sustainable Development Goals.
