If your Chromebook is charged or plugged in, it will usually start when the lid is opened. If the lid is open and the power is still not on, push the power button in the top right hand corner of the keyboard.
For most students, the username is the student's last name followed by their first initial. (ex. Gail Gumtree: username Gumtreeg) There are no spaces in a username. The username is not case sensitive.
Some students who have the same last name and first initial as another student in the school district will have a two digit number immediately after their first initial.
Your class's teacher should be able to help you get your username and password.
To access your Google account you must first go to the Google home page.
Next either click on the waffle in the upper right corner of the page and click on Drive or click on the word Gmail. Gmail is also on the upper right corner of the page.
When prompted for your email address or phone number, enter your email address Your email address is your username@umtsd.org
A new screen will popup. Fill in your school password. (This is the same password that you used to login to your computer.)
Login in to Learning.com - Intermediate School
Enter your district username. (Username not email address)
Enter your district password. (No um - um is not used in the Intermediate School login)
Type Upper in the box labeled District. A drop down menu will appear. Click on Upper Moreland.
Login in to Everfi.net -
Third and Fourth Grade Students
Go to Everfi.net - Login
In the Email or Username box, Type the letters ev and your username. No space between ev and your username. Username not email address.
Enter Password: Enter your district password. (No um)
Fifth Grade Students
Go to Everfi.net - Login
In the Email or Username box, Type your Upper Moreland email address.
Enter Password: Enter your district password. (No um)
Middle School Students
Go to Everfi.net - Login
In the Email or Username box, Type your Upper Moreland email address.
Enter Password: Enter your district password. (No um)
In Chrome
On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click on the three stacked buttons (Chrome browser menu)
In the drop down box, click More Tools .
Click. Clear browsing data.
At the top, see if Basic is in blue, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," make sure the boxes have a check in the boxes.
Click Clear data.
1. Update your Chrome OS
1. Sign in to his chrome book (Make sure that it is plugged in)
2. Open a Google Chrome tab
3. Click on the 3 dots located on the top right corner
4. Hover over Help, then click on About Chrome OS
5. At version, click on check for updates
6. System should run an update (if needed) - this will take a few minutes
7. When the update is finished, click on restart.
8. Once the Chromebook turns back on, let the chrome book sit on the charger for 30 minutes(should be charging then)
9. If not charging, email your teacher.
2. Clear Browsing Data in Chrome (Clear browsing data)
1. Open Chrome.
2. Click on the 3 dots located on the top right corner
3. Hover over More Tools, then click Clear browsing data.
4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
6. Click Clear data.
