Come by on August 25 between 12 and 2 pm on the MSC Patio for a Dirty Soda! Chat and learn more about the UMSL College of Education, Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education, & the UMSL Social Peers!
Hi there.
We are a university-wide student group working to promote an inclusive campus community for students with and without disabilities.Â
Let's be friends. For real.
Social advocacy and justice for individuals with disabilities are topics we care about. We proactively explore these ideals by sparking real, authentic friendship among students of diverse abilities. How? By getting students together for fun weekly and monthly social activities on campus. We do this year 'round, and in the process, create opportunities for students to make real connections. Check out our recent events!
But first...
As a member of the UMSL Social Peers program, you will be expected to participate in the following:
Attend an initial Disability Awareness and Expectations Training
Meet one-on-one with another student
Check in with a peer coordinator or coach for support
Attend monthly social activities
