What you'll need: Skillet, spatula, plastic container or bowl of any type, saucepan with lid, and spoon
Wash thawed salmon filets with water, and allow to dry.
Lightly season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and gently rub in seasoning.
Fill a saucepan with water, and add 1 cup chopped broccoli. Place the saucepan on the stove on medium to high heat for 6 minutes and cover with a lid.
In a plastic container, add ¼ cup honey and 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp lemon juice, and whisk.
Cook filets in canola oil on a skillet on medium-high heat. Cook for about four minutes or until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 4 minutes. While cooking on the second side, add a tbsp of lemon or lime juice to the skillet and pour in the contents of the plastic container.
If you only have a microwave, cover the dish tightly with microwave safe plastic wrap. Microwave the fish for 4 minutes and baste the mixture over the filet every minute. Check the center of the filet for doneness with a fork (If there is no bright flesh in the center, the salmon is ready to eat). If there is any uncooked fish, microwave for another 30-45 seconds.
Using a spoon, baste the mixture over the salmon as it cooks.
Once finished, serve alongside the cooked broccoli.
