What you'll need: Microwave, stovetop, 2-quart saucepan w/ lid, serving spoon, knife, bowl, plate, 1 cup measuring cup, can opener
In a 2-quart saucepan, combine 2 cups of hot water, 2 tbsp of butter, ½ cup of 2% milk, the au gratin potato sauce mix and potato slices.
Heat the pot over high heat until the contents come to a boil, stirring frequently. Avoid boiling over by adjusting heat.
Reduce heat, cover the pan and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. The potatoes will become tender.
Remove from heat and let stand for 5-10 minutes.
Cut ¼ of the ham steak off. Put the ham steak on a plate and microwave until it is warm.
With a can opener, open the green beans and place the contents into a microwave safe bowl. Cover the bowl with a paper towel and heat it on high for 3-4 minutes. Stir the contents and drain it.
Plate the ham steak, au gratin potatoes, and green beans, and enjoy
