This video sums up the entirety of the issue. It gives first-person interviews of people who have dealt with this divide their entire lives. All they want is to have the same economic opportunities and public commodities as those in the South.
This home is located in north St. Louis in the Ville. You can see it's beautiful structure made of solid brick that has been left to crumble. It is worth just a couple thousand dollars, yet is almost identical to houses south of Delmar that are worth hundreds of thousands. This is just one of the many homes that have been left vacant due to the poor economic conditions of the north.

While this is a slightly outdated image, it is still relevant today because not much has changed since this graphic was created. It truly depicts how minority populations are still not getting mortgages for homes. There are many reasons for this, but it all comes back to St. Louis's history. You can draw a line that shows where the lending stops. That line is Delmar Blvd.
This map demonstrates the income gap of the north and the south. Once again you can see the line that is Delmar Blvd that separates the purple and green.
