As the world moves forward, tourism is once again the focus of economic growth albeit through a fresh set of ideals. In 2022, BTRC was rebranded aligned to the principles of regenerative tourism by focusing on activities, communities and destinations within Ecotourism, Agritourism and Rural Tourism (EAR). The rebranding exercise included updating the logo, vision and mission statements as well as goals of BTRC. As a research centre of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy, we are supported by a team of multi-disciplinary scholars. Additional support arrives from our wider network of colleagues within UMS from backgrounds in conservation biology, forestry, marine, sustainable agriculture, information technology, the social sciences and our network in the tourism industry.
