Hayley Borck is the Managing Director of the UMN-wide Data Science & AI Hub, where she defines and executes both long-term strategy and day-to-day operations. With over 12 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence research and development, Hayley holds an MS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is passionate about solving complex problems with creative, elegant solutions and is committed to supporting the success of women in the field.
Eden Ehm is a data scientist crunching numbers at the intersection of marketing, optimization, and machine learning. With over a decade of marketing science experience in diverse industries, most recently in linear and connected television advertising and digital marketing, she proudly champions career diversity as a competitive edge -- especially in the age of AI. Eden holds an MS in Business Intelligence & Analytics and an MBA from Creighton University.
Shreepriya Dogra is a Ph.D. student in Learning Technologies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her research focuses on critical data literacies, computing education, and the ethical dimensions of educational technology. With a background in computer science and experience in undergraduate teaching, she is particularly interested in how emerging technologies, such as Generative AI, can be (re)shaped by participation, agency, and equity in education. Her work engages with interdisciplinary approaches to reimagine more inclusive and justice-oriented technological futures.
Nell Meshcheryakov is the Senior Director of Transformation at SEI and leads the AI Center of Excellence. With an extensive background spanning roles in academics, operations, transformation, innovation, IT, and strategy, Nell brings a holistic approach to the field of Responsible AI. Nell has been passionate about AI since she created her first model in 2017, completed a certificate in Machine Learning and AI from MIT (2020), focused her dissertation on Algorithmic Bias and Machine Learning (2021) and has spoken publicly about this topic in the last couple of years in a number of different formats. She is currently pursuing a master's in systems engineering from Harvard. Her interdisciplinary expertise drives her mission to build responsible, impactful AI systems, focusing on fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Prior to her role as Director of Outreach & Training in Research Computing at the UMN, Laura served as vice president for enterprise analytics and insights at Strategic Education, where she led data science and analytics teams providing quantitative and qualitative research, evaluation, benchmarking, and measurement for Capella University and Strayer University. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota, her master’s and PhD at Indiana University, and was an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before having twins and moving back to Minneapolis to be near family.
Katerina Marcoulides is an Associate Professor and Director of the Quantitative & Psychometric Methods Program in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota. She is also a member of the Minnesota Population Center, Data Science and AI Hub, and the Data Science Initiative in the College of Science & Engineering. Her research focuses on the development and application of advanced modeling and data mining approaches for the analysis of complex psychological data, and considers ways in which various substantive domains within psychology can be studied through these analytic approaches.
