Overall, my mentorship philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual has the potential to make meaningful contributions to the research community. I am dedicated to providing personalized support, fostering an inclusive environment, and empowering my mentees to reach their full potential.Â
As research mentor, my aim is to guide each trainee in clarifying their career objectives, devising strategies to attain them, and assisting them in overcoming obstacles encountered while pursuing our shared research mission. For laboratory-based trainees, it is my goal that team members acquire multifaceted experience in cellular, molecular, and developmental biology, alongside opportunities for engagement in translational science. For clinical trainees, I strive to provide all clinical research mentees with experience in study design, review of the literature, data acquisition, data analysis, and research dissemination.
In both research arms, our endeavors are underpinned by the core values of scientific integrity, dedication, humility, teamwork, and respect for others.
