Research

The Wagner Laboratory carries out a diverse array of interdisciplinary research employing the tools of organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, structural biology, cell culture, protein design and purification, materials characterization, enzyme kinetics, animal studies and more. The laboratory is broadly based on the development of small molecule and macromolecular therapeutics that address viral diseases, cancer, pain and opioid tolerance. Please see the pull down menu for specific project areas.

Our laboratory is enthusiastically focussed on research at the Chemistry and Biology interface. Check out the University of Minnesota Chemical Biology Initiative for more information about ChemBio at the University of Minnesota!
