The goal of USSS-TC is to give BIPOC undergraduates a free way to share the research and scientific ideas, learn about graduate school, connect with STEM professors and professionals, and increase their sense of belonging in STEM.

Important Dates 2025
February 24 - Last day to register and receive a mentor
March 28 - Last day to register to be a presenter or attendee
March 28 - Poster and abstract forms due
April 12 - Day of event
Research
Research
Attendees will have the opportunity to present a poster regardless of if they have participated in research on one of three topics: 1) Original research projects; 2) A research paper that interests them; 3) A new research proposal they would be interested in completing. Posters will be judged by graduate students, professors, & STEM professionals for feedback and awards.
Mentorship
Mentorship
Attendees can be paired with a mentor (professor, graduate student, or STEM professional) that will assist in preparing for the symposium. Mentors will serve as a resource for career and graduate program questions.

Panels about how to apply to graduate school, graduate school life, and future career opportunities. Panelists will include graduate students from various programs and student organizations.
