Poster Presentation Options
Research
A research poster will include a summary of research you have conducted. This can be independent research you have done or research that's been done through a summer program or with a professor. The poster should roughly include background information, key results, and any conclusions you've been able to draw.
Proposal
A proposal poster will provide an overview of a potential research project you are interested in or could imagine conducting. This could be work you are planning to do in the future or a fun scientific question you'd like to answer! The poster should include background information on your research, a plan for how you would conduct the work, and any additional details to sell your potential project!
Literature
A literature poster will summarize a research paper or series of papers you are interested in sharing with other students! This could be work you've become familiar with through classes or that are of particular interest to you!
Attendance Options
Presenter & Mentorship
This attendance option is for those who will be presenting and are interested in being paired with a mentor. USSS-TC will pair you with a mentor who has a STEM area of expertise similar to yours. The role of mentors is to help with symposium preparation (poster, proofreading, etc), as well as act as a lasting mentor for career advice, graduate school application prep, and more. Check out the mentorship tab to learn more!
`We are pairing mentors and mentees on a rolling basis. The final registration date to receive a mentor is August 4, 2023.
Presenter
This attendance option is for those who want to present and attend our graduate school and career talks, but feel like they already have the resources to prepare an effective poster presentation. You will not be paired with a mentor for this option.

Attendee
Interested in learning more about graduate school and the application process but don't want to present? You can still attend USSS-TC as an attendee and enjoy posters, talks, and panels!
