Luminary Loppet
Luminary Loppet
Head to the Lake of the Isles in the heart of Uptown to enjoy the Luminary Loppet on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Hot chocolate, cookies, and s’mores will be offered as attendees view the luminaries. Food trucks, beverages, and music are located at the Luminary Party.
The Loppet has generously partnered with the GME DEI Advisory Group for the past several years to offer a 50% discount on ticket prices.
This year, the Loppet has asked everyone who uses the discount code to provide a selfie or a photo of your favorite ice sculpture. Discount code users will be sent an email following the event to provide a photo. Use the provided link below to sign up and receive the discount code. A valid UMN email account is required.

Join us for a Monthly Foodie Hangout
A WhatsApp group for foodies who want to eat delicious food and share stories together once a month on Wednesday at 7:00pm. Restaurants will range from hole-in-the-wall to fancy. Check out the list of restaurants and dates at z.umn.edu/foodiefriendrestaurants. The group includes those who work in health care or education but is open to everyone. Cost will be on your own, but expect apps to be shared widely from us and others.
