Guidelines & Prizes

Rules and Guidelines:

1. Participant's work and presentation must be completely original. Copying other team's work is not allowed at any point throughout the competition.

2. To be eligible for entering the competition, all teams and individuals MUST fill out the registration form.

3. You cannot be in contact with other teams during the competition. Any questions regarding the dataset or problem must be asked in the main zoom room to the Stats Club board. We will not be able to provide direct help, but we can give some hints.

4. Each team will have a maximum of 8 minutes to present their findings.

5. Each time will have 3 chances for finding the best predictor/models for the data. Each time a submission is made for the model, the accuracy will be returned from the Stats club to the team

6. One day prior to the competition, a sample dataset will be released for teams to practice

Prizes/Awards:

• First Prize: $30 gift cards X 3 + Certificates signed by faculty in school of statistics

• Second Prize: $20 gift card X 3 + Certificates signed by faculty in school of statistics

• Third Prize: $10 gift card X 3 + Certificates signed by faculty in school of statistics

• Most Accurate Prediction: Certificates signed by faculty in school of statistics

• Most Creative Team: Certificates signed by faculty in school of statistics
