Together with AMS (American Mathematical Society) student chapter, we hosted an event to commemorate a peculiar instance of binary numbers appearing consecutively in the month of October (that is 10/10 and 10/11). The first half of this event was an invited guest lecture from Sam Hopkins, related to numbers, patterns, and their connection with mathematical research. The second half was a fun number-related game called Nim. Refreshments were provided.
