The Restoring Women’s Sexual Health (REWOSH) study aims to enhance sexual healthcare for women affected by female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) by developing a medical student curriculum focused on their specific healthcare needs.
Is a collaboration between the University of Minnesota and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS).
● The study is led by 2 Principal Investigators: Dr. Jennifer Connor from University of Minnesota and Dr. Agness Massae from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences.
● Funded by the National Institute of Health , Grant number R01HD115567.
● The research staff consist of members from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, University of Minnesota, Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT), University of Massachusetts (UMASS) Chan Medical School, John Hopkins and Geneva University.
● This research study is overseen by the University of Minnesota Institutional Review Board (IRB) STUDY00023548.
