Eggs are a good source of iron.
Children need iron for healthy blood and for brain development.
Foods high in vitamin C, like oranges, peppers, and tomatoes, can help a person’s body absorb iron better.
Salsa is made from tomatoes and peppers, adding salsa to eggs will help children absorb the iron in the egg better.
