Ingredients
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (stems removed)
1 ripe banana, peeled
1 cup spinach leaves (rinsed)
1 cup plain yogurt
3/4 cup skim or low-fat milk
Ice (optional)
*Makes four 1-cup servings. Cut the recipe in half for two 1-cup servings.

Blender
Colander
Measuring cup
Spoon
Spatula
Gather ingredients. Rinse blueberries, strawberries, and banana.
Add spinach to the blender.
Add fruit to the blender.
Add yogurt and milk to the blender.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into cups and enjoy!

If you prefer a plant-based beverage for your young child, choose a soy-based beverage as it is similar in protein and has been fortified with calcium and other vitamins to make its content similar to cow’s milk. Young children need calcium and protein for their bones, teeth and overall growth.
