A tour through two places where our learners train often: the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank (UMMC), the region's only university-level academic medical system, and the M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center, our innovative and accessible ambulatory care facility.
University of Minnesota Medical Center is the flagship location for University of Minnesota Health, and is comprised of two hospitals and dozens of adult specialty clinics on both the East and West banks of the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis (source).
North Memorial Health Hospital is a level one trauma center, accredited with awards. It has been recognized as one of the top 50 hospitals in America for two years in a row. The hospital also takes pride in its work and has received the Hennepin County Wellness by Design award multiple times, which recognizes workplaces that develop, promote and maintain a healthy environment. North Memorial has also received awards for its performance in areas such as hip and knee replacements, strokes, and heart attacks. The hospital has a track record of specialist centers, ranging from heart attacks to cancer (source).

M Simulation is located on the 5th and 6th floors of HSEC and offers 18 clinic rooms furnished with ambulatory care equipment and supplies, seven inpatient rooms, two operating rooms, acute care and trauma rooms, plus several Gateway rooms that serve as touchdown, orientation and debrief spaces. M Simulation is also outfitted with a Technology Lab with high fidelity technical trainers; a Skills Lab to practice procedural skills; and an Innovation Space to promote industry partnerships and research (source).
