June 2014 - August 2019

I study multiple computer vision, machine learning and robotics problem in the context of agricultural applications. These problems include object detection and tracking, clustering, semantic segmentation, 3D reconstruction, merging point clouds, and domain adaptation. Some of my main contributions are:

- A semantics-aware image to image translation technique using generative adversarial networks (implementation in PyTorch)

- A novel method for merging point clouds from both sides of a tree row without any overlap (implementation in OpenCV)

- An incremental structure from motion algorithm using customized (i.e using fruits) features (implementation in OpenCV)

- Classical and deep learning techniques for fruit detection (implementation in OpenCV and TensorFlow)

- Classical and deep learning techniques for fruit counting (implementation in OpenCV and TensorFlow)

- A technique for next best view planning for counting and localizing fruits (implementation in ROS and OpenCV)
