Our main courses will be accessed through Canvas. Access will be provided under your UMN JSI account & can be accessed using your Internet ID & the password you set up when you first accessed your sponsored account.
Canvas can be accessed through the MyU portal under Key Links or on the Academics tab, or by going directly to canvas.umn.edu.
Your first time logging into Canvas you must accept the “terms of use”. If you don’t, you will not be able to see your classes.
If you don't see a course site for a class you are enrolled in, it's likely it has not yet been published by the instructor, or they are not using Canvas for the course.
Canvas includes a set of default notification preferences you can receive for your courses. However, you can change the default settings by setting your own notification preferences. These preferences only apply to you; they are not used to control how course updates are sent to other users. To learn more about each notification, default settings, and notification triggers, view the Canvas Notifications PDF & more resources HERE.
Canvas help resources are available below. You can also get help by clicking on the Question Mark icon located on the lower left corner of the Canvas dashboard. If you have issues accessing Canvas contact UMN Technology Help at help@umn.edu.
