Research-in-Progress Symposium
The purpose of the Research-In-Progress Symposium (RIPS) is to enhance the understanding of research projects that are conducted by trainees in the vsrious laboratories affiliated with the training program. It provides an opportunity for trainees to make formal presentations to their peers and to elicit critiques from perspectives unavailable in their own laboratories. It is also an opportunity to develop or extend existing collaborations. In addition to regular trainee presentations, a selected number of topics are provided for the trainees benefit. Examples of such sessions include Career Development Opportunities, Grant Overview for the NRSA Trainees, Educational Modules. The symposium is held during the Spring Semester.
