The Duluth Campus is privileged to be affiliated with the orthopedics department in the Twin Cities. The Orthopedic Surgery Interest Group (OSIG) represents an invaluable asset for medical students interested in pursuing a future in orthopedics. Despite these exceptional resources, our geographic separation from the Twin Cities can present challenges.
Without the proper connections, navigating the field of orthopedics may lead to feelings of disconnection and isolation from the department in the Twin Cities. However, with the strategies and resources outlined below, students can enhance their knowledge of orthopedics and strengthen their candidacy for residency positions by establishing meaningful connections with the Twin Cities orthopedics department.
