Every day, University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener volunteers bring University research-based information into your communities and schools, and educate people on best practices of consumer horticulture and environmental stewardship.

In 2023, Extension Master Gardener volunteers gave more than 160,000 hours of service to help Minnesotans solve problems and make their communities more sustainable, more productive, more knowledgeable, and more beautiful! The commitment of volunteers in the future years will be no different.

Please consider making an investment – a financial investment – in the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener program. The program depends on gifts like yours and revenue from class fees to cover operating costs and to provide education tools and training for Extension Master Gardener volunteers. Help us keep class fees affordable and the program sustainable. Your gift will help to provide continuing education opportunities and resources to aid volunteers in teaching. Your gift may also support scholarships for education and tools for sharing program visibility and impact.

You may also give your gift in honor of or in memory of someone special to you.

Giving Opportunities

In-kind donations and financial contributions from corporate donors are also welcome. Matching gift programs may be organized in collaboration with the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener program. For more information, please contact us at mgweb@umn.edu.

Grateful thanks for your gift and support!
