Facilitate departmental discussion and action on topics that promote C.A.R.E. principles
Seek out ways to incorporate the tenets of C.A.R.E. into our departmental policies and procedures in a meaningful way
Solicit, analyze, and act on feedback from the department on our climate and culture
We will: Partner with local high school students from underrepresented backgrounds to grow early interest in STEM and our own awareness of C.A.R.E.
We will: Raise awareness of C.A.R.E. topics, intiatives, and events through integrated C.A.R.E moments at seminars and in departmental communications.
We will: Clarify expectations, build connections, and grow our internal network through faculty mentorship of students and postdocs.
We will: Recognize C.A.R.E accomplishments and create space and time for members of the department to pursue C.A.R.E. education and training.
We will: Maintain our C.A.R.E. website and other outward-facing platforms to ensure our commitment to C.A.R.E is well represented and celebrated by the department.
We will: Work diligently to ensure the successful implementation of our C.A.R.E. plan and continue to evaluate and adjust our efforts as our needs and abilities change.
