How to Apply
For the degree (PhD) seeking candidates, first contact cvmrtp@umn.edu to let us know of your interest. Next, apply for the U of MN Graduate Program. Please visit our Graduate Program's site. The candidates who are accepted to the graduate program are then eligible for our support.
For the non-degree candidates, please contact Program Administrator at cvmrtp@umn.edu for availability as we have 6 slots and the availability changes frequently. Then submit your application materials (see files below) to adrienne@umn.edu. Currently, we have five slots open. We will contact the candidates when any additional slots become available.
Trainees will receive a stipend, set by the NRSA. The amount received depends on the trainee's years of experience. An additional childcare stipend and health insurance is also available.
For the degree-seeking candidates: First, you will hear from the graduate school. If you are accepted to the graduate program or invited for an interview, then the graduate program will notify us of your acceptance. After that, the Program Directors of the training program will review your application. This may take a few weeks, depending on the number of candidates and the availability of the slots.
