Context Matters: Organizers

Sarah Gilbert is a research associate at Cornell University and Research Director of the Citizens and Technology Lab where her work focuses on supporting healthy online communities. Using collaborative methods, she explores how volunteer moderators’ labor impacts community governance, factors and interventions that encourage participation and reduce harmful behaviour, and studies how online data can be reused ethically.
