The resources below are articles, guidebooks, and websites we have found useful. We also include a recorded presentation sponsored by our collaborative.
On February 23, 2024 Dr. Ricardo Punzalan visited the University of Minnesota to present this hybrid talk: “Towards a Decolonial Future: The Promises and Challenges of Reciprocal and Reparative Actions”. This talk reflected on current efforts of ReConnect/ReCollect to practice repair across different layers of work including relationships with impacted communities in the Philippines and in Michigan, hosting artist residencies in the collections, and making changes to curatorial practices. Through the presentation and in the Q and A that followed, Dr. Punzalan also referenced Minnesota ties to early Philippine collecting expeditions.
