Thank you for registering for Session 1 of “Collaborative writing in teaching, learning, and scholarship” on Friday, September 27 in 110 Anderson Hall (LATIS). We are excited to kick off the first of six sessions that explore opportunities and new directions for collaborative work at the University of Minnesota.

Our guiding questions for session 1

We’ll be using a collaboration tool during part of the session, so please bring a laptop or tablet to explore Padlet.

Session 1 schedule

10:45: Buffet lunch available starting before the session.

11: Session 1 and ICW Project kick-off

  1. Introduction to the ICW Collaborative Writing Project, core team, and research goals.
  2. Tell us about yourself and what brings you here today.

During the workshop we’ll use Padlet to share ideas. Before we meet on Friday, introduce yourself through the Padlet board: https://padlet.com/clopez79/2ynahauci6p3

You can log in through Google. When you post your introduction you can keep it simple and type your response, but you can also add photos, links, and drawings. Feel free to like and comment on other posts.

  1. Face to Face Introductions (10 minutes) Name, Department, and One word about Collaboration
  2. Reflection and discussion: What is authentic collaborative writing? (30 minutes)
  3. Wrap up: thinking about next steps.
