Purpose
Collaborative writing provides opportunities to discover, develop, and mesh your ideas with those of other people, sharpen and clarify your arguments, and strengthen collegial relationships. While rewarding, collaborative writing projects can involve complex negotiations. The purpose of this community of inquiry is to learn together why, when and how to write collaboratively. Together we'll discuss CW projects in teaching, research and scholarship.
This program is open to open to academic staff, faculty, graduate students, instructors, postdoctoral researchers, and undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. Because collaboration often occurs between faculty and community partners, ICW sessions will also be open to participation by associates from outside of the University.
The collaborative writing community of inquiry is a two-semester program that will take place in Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. Participants may attend some or all of the workshops.
