Welcome to the College in the Schools (CIS) program!
As a CIS instructor, you not only bring the University of Minnesota’s courses to life in high school classrooms but also foster an environment of respect, belonging, inclusion and academic excellence.
CIS instructors also play a key roles to teach students about University course structures, assist with registration processes, introduce students to "college knowledge" and processes, and offer guidance to support their learning. Your leadership is vital as you teach the U of M course, prepare students for important events like CIS Student Field Day, and actively participate in CIS professional education and cohort development.
Additionally, your cooperation with the CIS office and faculty coordinator ensures the smooth running of all logistical aspects, from grading to policy compliance. Your dedication to student success and your active participation in program evaluations help shape the future of the CIS program.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Your contributions make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and in the success of the CIS program!
