This checklist is for students in the incoming medical school class beginning their studies in Fall 2024.
Please complete the tasks/forms by the dates provided. All tasks are required unless noted otherwise.

Join the MS1 social media groups (optional).
Any time after you've confirmed your acceptance.
The rising MS2 class creates and administrates social media groups for incoming MS1s, for those interested in connecting with their soon-to-be classmates. These sites are student-led and not monitored by Medical School staff.
Apply for Financial Aid (optional, but strongly encouraged). Review all financial aid information.
Apply as soon as possible.

Required for students who had their bachelor’s degree and/or prerequisite courses in progress or incomplete at the time of application.

Activate upon receiving your University of MN ID number in the summer (received via email from the Office of Admissions).
Review required medical instruments and resources and purchase optional extras if you would like your own set.

Complete Orientation intake forms and pre-work.
Orientation intake forms will be emailed out in late May. Please complete them as soon as possible upon receipt.

Submit AAMC Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ) (optional).

You will receive the questionnaire via email from AAMC to the email address used for your AMCAS application. Reach out to AAMC with any questions.
July 1 - October 1, 2024
If you have not had the Hepatitis B series or do not have documented immunity, you should make an appointment right away for the first dose, as there is usually a 6-month span between doses, and this is also due by October 1st.
Boynton will begin accepting student health records the first week of July.
