Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Minnesota Medical School! Now you're wondering - what's next?


This checklist is for students in the incoming medical school class beginning their studies in Fall 2024.

Please complete the tasks/forms by the dates provided. All tasks are required unless noted otherwise.

Class of 2028 Facebook group

Any time after you've confirmed your acceptance.

The rising MS2 class creates and administrates social media groups for incoming MS1s, for those interested in connecting with their soon-to-be classmates. These sites are student-led and not monitored by Medical School staff.

Apply for Financial Aid (optional, but strongly encouraged). Review all financial aid information.

Apply as soon as possible.

Connect with the DRC as soon as possible to make arrangements so they are in place for Orientation and the first week of classes.

You will receive the questionnaire via email from AAMC to the email address used for your AMCAS application. Reach out to AAMC with any questions.

If you have not had the Hepatitis B series or do not have documented immunity, you should make an appointment right away for the first dose, as there is usually a 6-month span between doses, and this is also due by October 1st.

Boynton will begin accepting student health records the first week of July.
