The VR headset used in this project was the Oculus Quest v1. The Quest offered many advantages over other options on the market. For starters, it is a relatively small and light weight headset, meaning the patient would have less neck strain while using it. Next, it has on-board room scale tracking, meaning there isn't a need to set up additional cameras. It is also entirely self contained, so there are no cables running to a PC as the apps run directly on the OQ. Third, the OQ v1 was cheaper than the new v2 model released this fall. Finally, the OQ is a relatively weak hardware, meaning that if we made an app that would run on this, it would run on most headsets without issue.
